A healthy and safe learning environment contributes to improved academic performance, attendance, and overall student success. Additionally, promoting wellness fosters positive habits that extend beyond the school setting., benefiting students throughout their lives. 

We want to create a supportive atmosphere conducive to learning . Since I have been a board member, the board has impacted student wellness and safety in the following ways:

• implemented SEL curriculum

• added an intensive support counselor at KHS

• implemented an at-risk alert system at middle and high school levels
