St. Louis native Jean Marie Andrews spent a decade teaching in the Kirkwood School District. She earned her degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from Fontbonne University and taught kindergarten, 2nd and 3rd grades at Robinson Elementary. During that time, she developed the district’s Extended Day program for at-risk kids.
She is a former 2-year President and Vice President of the board and she has served on the following District Committees: Communication, Safety, Curriculum, Strategic Planning, and Policy Management. Jean Marie also co-chaired the successful 2017 Prop K campaign to help fund Kirkwood schools.
Jean Marie and her husband, Ben, have lived in Kirkwood since 2013. They have three children: Paige (13) who attends North Kirkwood Middle, Caroline (10), and Jack (8) who attend Keysor Elementary.
In addition to her numerous volunteer efforts for Kirkwood Schools, she is a member of Saint Peter Catholic Church and has coached multiple soccer teams.
